Terms of Service
Effective Date: July 11, 2026 · Last Updated: September 5, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Forzara ("Forzara," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the website forzara.ai, the Forzara platform, related applications, tools, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" will refer to both you and the organization.
1. Description of the Service
Forzara is a privacy first reentry support platform that provides:
- Guided milestone tracking for life after a criminal conviction
- AI assisted tools that generate draft documents such as resumes, cover letters, landlord letters, and other correspondence
- AI assisted tools that help identify the correct official government or court form for legal processes such as expungement, record sealing, early termination, and appeals, and provide guidance on completing them (Forzara does not draft, generate, or file these forms on your behalf)
- Tools and resources to support employment, housing, identification, and related reentry goals
- Optional organization and coach features that allow authorized staff to view limited milestone progress
The Service is provided on a software as a service basis. We may update, improve, or modify features from time to time.
Important: Forzara is a self help and productivity tool. It is not a law firm, legal aid organization, court, government agency, or professional advisory service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your credentials.
You may enable two factor login (a one time code sent by SMS) on any account, including staff and admin accounts, for extra protection. You are responsible for keeping your two factor recovery codes safe, we store them as one time use hashes and cannot recover a lost code for you. You may also set a short PIN to quickly re lock your own session on a shared device; see our Privacy Policy for how that PIN is stored.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or legal risk.
4. Subscriptions, Payments, and Cancellation
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. An organization's subscription is a custom-quoted arrangement sized to its program, an "Organization Plan," as described on our Organization Pricing page, rather than a fixed public tier. "Organization Plan" as used elsewhere in these Terms refers to that arrangement.
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected). Payment is processed by our third party payment processor. We do not store full payment card details.
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We do not provide pro rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
- Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes will apply to subsequent billing cycles.
- Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
- Failed Payments: If payment fails, we may suspend access until payment is resolved.
5. AI Generated Documents, Form Guidance, and Content
5.1 Two Kinds of AI Assistance
The Service provides two different kinds of AI assistance, and the distinction matters for what follows in this section:
- Document generation: For things like resumes, cover letters, landlord letters, and other correspondence, our AI tools generate a draft document directly, based on the information you provide.
- Form location and completion guidance: For court and government forms, including expungement petitions, record sealing, early termination requests, and appeals, our AI helps identify the correct official form for your state and situation, and provides step by step guidance for completing it. Forzara does not draft, generate, or file these forms on your behalf.
As used in this Section 5 and throughout these Terms, "Outputs" means both AI generated documents and the form identification and completion guidance provided through the Service.
5.2 Nature of AI Outputs
The document generation tools described in Section 5.1 use artificial intelligence (currently Google Gemini via paid API) to produce draft documents based on the information you provide. These outputs are:
- Generated automatically
- Intended as starting points and drafts only
- Not reviewed by attorneys or other licensed professionals by default
5.3 Your Ownership of Outputs
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you own the documents and content generated specifically for you through the Service based on your inputs ("Outputs"). We assign to you any rights we may have in those Outputs.
You acknowledge that:
- AI systems may generate similar or identical outputs for different users who provide similar inputs.
- Purely AI generated works may have limited or no copyright protection under U.S. law.
5.4 Your Responsibilities and High Risk Use
You are solely responsible for:
- Reviewing, editing, and verifying every Output before using it
- Ensuring that any document you submit to employers, landlords, courts, government agencies, or any third party is accurate, complete, and appropriate for your specific situation
- Complying with all applicable laws when using Outputs
High Risk and Court Related Use: The Service does not prepare, draft, or file final legal filings, court documents, or any materials submitted to a court, government agency, or tribunal. For expungement, sealing, early termination, appeals, and similar legal processes, the Service identifies the official form for your state and situation and provides guidance on completing it, but you are the one filling out and filing the form. If you use any Output, including a form identified or guidance provided by the Service, in connection with a court filing, petition, motion, or similar legal process, you do so entirely at your own risk. You must have any such form reviewed by a licensed attorney licensed in the relevant jurisdiction before filing or relying on it. Forzara accepts no responsibility for the consequences of using Service identified forms or guidance in legal proceedings.
5.5 No Storage of Documents
In accordance with our Privacy Policy, we do not store the content of documents you generate, the forms you complete using our guidance, or the detailed inputs used to create them. You must download, copy, or save any Output you wish to keep. We are not responsible for any loss of documents you fail to save.
5.6 No Legal or Professional Advice
The Service and all Outputs are provided for informational and self help purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, or any other professional advice. No attorney client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship is created by your use of the Service. Laws vary by jurisdiction and change over time. You should consult a licensed attorney or other qualified professional for advice regarding your specific situation.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to generate documents intended to defraud, mislead, or commit fraud
- Submit false, misleading, or fabricated information into the tools
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying models, prompts, or non public aspects of the Service
- Use the Service to develop competing AI systems or to train other models
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Use the Service in any way that violates the rights of others or applicable law
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Circumvent any access or usage limits
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination, for violations of this section.
7. Organization and Coach Features
If you are enrolled through a partner organization:
- Authorized organization staff may view your milestone status and any short notes you choose to attach when submitting milestones.
- Staff cannot view or access the content of documents you generate.
- You remain the owner of your account and Outputs.
- The organization is responsible for its own compliance with applicable privacy and confidentiality obligations.
- Support requests submitted through the Service are handled by a person on our team, not resolved solely by an automated system.
If your organization uses the Service to generate program outcome reports, funder reports, or Second Chance Act, CSBG/ROMA, or other grant compliance worksheets:
- These reports are assembled from aggregate milestone and service data already visible to your organization's authorized staff.
- These are workpapers to help your organization prepare and double-check its own official report; they are not themselves a filing, and Forzara does not submit anything to a funder, grantor, or government agency on your behalf.
- The Service has no direct connection to any state or federal grant-reporting system (for example, Illinois's STARS system or Ohio's CSBG reporting system) — your organization is responsible for entering final figures into those systems itself.
- Your organization, not Forzara, is responsible for the accuracy of any information it adds to a report, and for how a generated report is used, shared, branded, or submitted to any funder, grantor, or government agency.
- Forzara does not review, certify, or guarantee that any report satisfies a specific funder's, grantor's, or agency's requirements.
8. Feedback and Beta Features
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service ("Feedback"), you grant Forzara a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty free license to use, modify, and incorporate that Feedback into the Service without any obligation to you.
From time to time we may offer beta, experimental, or pre release features ("Beta Features"). Beta Features are provided "as is," may be modified or discontinued at any time, and are excluded from any service level commitments or warranties. Your use of Beta Features is voluntary and at your sole risk.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service (including the platform, software, design, trademarks, and underlying technology) is owned by Forzara and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal organizational purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of the content and data you submit to the Service (subject to the limited rights needed for us to provide the Service). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully. If you are an organization using the Service under an Organization Plan, our Data Processing Addendum is also incorporated into these Terms by reference and describes how we process your program's participant data on your organization's behalf, including subprocessors, security measures, and breach notification.
11. Disclaimers
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free
- Any Output will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your purposes
- Any document generated will be accepted by employers, landlords, courts, or government agencies
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
You assume full responsibility for your use of the Service and any Outputs.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Organization Plans: If you are an organization using the Service under an Organization Plan, the cap in the preceding paragraph is instead the greater of (i) the total amount your organization actually paid us under its Organization Plan in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (ii) the total fees your organization has committed to pay us under its then current Organization Plan agreement for its current term. This keeps the cap from being artificially small simply because a claim arises early in your organization's first billing cycle, while still scaling with the actual size of your program, the same way an Organization Plan is priced in the first place. We do not apply a flat, one size floor here, for the same reason we don't publish a flat price list: a fifteen person pilot and a three hundred person county contract don't owe the same thing, and shouldn't be owed the same thing either.
These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if any limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Forzara and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service or Outputs
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third party rights
- Any content or information you submit
- Any dispute between you and a third party arising from your use of an Output
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if:
- You breach these Terms
- We are required to do so by law
- We decide to discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice where practicable)
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, arbitration, and governing law) will survive.
15. Changes to These Terms or the Service
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by email or a prominent notice on the Service) and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
16. Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration; Class Action Waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.
16.1 Informal Resolution First
Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to contact us at support@forzara.ai and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
16.2 Binding Arbitration
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service (collectively, "Disputes") shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, or, where the Dispute is brought by or against an organization using the Service under an Organization Plan, the AAA's Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator in Illinois (or another mutually agreed location, or by video/phone if the claim is under $10,000).
The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
16.3 Class Action Waiver
The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding.
16.4 Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above, either party may:
- Bring an individual action in small claims court
- Seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property or privacy rights
- Pursue enforcement of the arbitration award in court
16.5 Opt Out
You may opt out of this arbitration and class action waiver provision by sending written notice to support@forzara.ai within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your name, email address associated with your account, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out. Opting out will not affect any other provisions of these Terms.
16.6 Governing Law for Arbitration
This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
17. Governing Law
Subject to the arbitration provisions above, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any court proceedings permitted under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
18. General
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Forzara regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement shall be null and void.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them freely.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to causes beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices: We may provide notices via email, in app messages, or by posting on the Service.
- No Third Party Beneficiaries: These Terms do not create rights for any third party except as expressly stated.
- Export Compliance: You may not use the Service in violation of U.S. export laws.
